10 Tips about Tips. Or: How to Use Ear Buds without Hurting Your Ears.

I’m not just showing off the new and improved design of our (ear) buds packaging here.
I’m inviting you to look closely at it.

Yes. That’s right. We added a warning.

Ear buds are perfectly safe to clean your ears with.
But that’s the outer bit of them, the auricle, not inside your ear canal. You could actually do some damage there, apart from the fact you are far more likely to actually push in whatever it is you’d like to clear out than getting it out.

More importantly, you could use your buds better for plenty of other things.

The internet is full of tips for using them in applying as well as cleaning off make-up.

But they also come in handy
💚When you have chipped a wall and need to fix just a tiny bit of paint.
💚Cleaning the tiniest nooks and crannies around the house.
💚Cleaning (small) electronics (apparently, they’re ideal to clean, and thereby prolong the life of, your hairdryer. If you own such a thing …) and keyboards.
💚After a long night.
Just make sure you always have a few dabbed into your favourite (face or eye) cream in the freezer. Even if it doesn’t do the instant bag-removing miracle you’d hope for, it’ll still feel nice and refreshing to roll them under your puffy eyes.
💚Learning about hydraulics.
(Something with a straw my boy really enjoyed. I did post it on our Instagram a while ago.)
💚(Kids’) crafts.
From applying tiny dabs of paint, to building forts out of them. Bending them slightly, they make lovely streetlights in box scenes, or add petals to create flowers … anything goes, really.
💚Cleaning jewelry.
💚Opening stuck zippers.
Dab buds in grease (any oil from the kitchen will do) before applying to the zipper, to prevent spilling greasy ick over your clothes/ bags.

Did that look like only eight tips instead of ten?
That’s just because I only used eight 💚s.
I did tell you you can savely clean your auricles and to check the internet for make-up tips involving cotton tips, didn’t I?
