A Bamboo Washing Up Brush with a Replaceable Head
Say hello to our rather marvelous bamboo washing up brush.
You can wash up to your heart’s content with this cracking little brush, made with a smooth bamboo handle and sturdy sisal plant-fibre bristles. It scrubs plates, bowls, pans and the mysterious dried-on thing somebody has left in a saucepan without needing a plastic brush beside the sink.
Being wonderfully durable, it should last an age. When the brush head finally gives up the ghost, you do not need to replace the whole thing. Simply unscrew it and fit a shiny new refill head.
That makes it a genuinely useful washing up brush with a replaceable head, rather than another supposedly sustainable product that has to be thrown away in its entirety.
Why Choose This Bamboo Dish Brush?
- Bamboo handle: Comfortable to hold and long enough to keep your hands away from the worst of the washing-up water.
- Natural sisal bristles: Firm enough for everyday scrubbing without relying on nylon bristles.
- Replaceable brush head: Keep the handle and replace only the worn part.
- Two buying options: Choose the complete brush with handle or just a replacement head.
- Plastic-free design: A straightforward alternative to the usual plastic washing-up brush.
A Plastic-Free Washing Up Brush That Actually Scrubs
This is not one of those eco swaps that looks lovely but becomes slightly decorative when presented with a dirty frying pan. The round sisal washing up brush head gets into bowls and across plates easily, while the plant-fibre bristles provide plenty of useful scrubbing power.
The complete brush measures approximately 23 × 5 × 4cm. Its 5cm head works particularly well for ordinary plates, pans and wider cups, although—as one admirably honest customer pointed out—it may not fit inside every narrow drinking glass. We would rather tell you that than pretend it possesses magical shape-changing abilities.
Once a worn head reaches the end of its useful life, separate any non-compostable fittings where necessary. The untreated bamboo and sisal parts can then be composted, used in a suitable wood burner or taken for wood recycling where your local facilities accept them.
Build a Better Sink-Side Setup
If you are putting together a lower-waste washing-up arrangement, pair your bamboo dish brush with our Uno Dishwashing Soap Bar. For stubborn baked-on bits, bring in the Safix Coconut Scourer.
Those who find themselves enthusiastically scrubbing absolutely everything may also appreciate the Coconut Tawashi Brush. They are great.

It’s a cracking thing. Less plastic. Replaceable heads. Clean plates!

First time buying this product from this website and so far very happy with it. The only complaint from my dish washer is the head doesn’t fit inside some of the glasses! However I think this is outweighed by the amount of plastic waste we are saving.
